چکیده

Abstract. The main purpose of this study was to examine the predictive validity system used for ab initio selection candidates a bachelor program in aviation. includes paper-and-pencil tests, computer-based and an interview. A total 188 participated validation study. test score predicted results three exams aviation theory ( r = .27–.38) extra flying hours needed (−.22), but not mean university grade. regression analyses indicated that all predictors (tests interview ratings) explained 25% variance theory, 19% needed, 7% overall findings confirmed especially tests.

Peephole: Predicting Network Performance Before Training

The quest for performant networks has been a significant force that drives the advancements of deep learning in recent years. While rewarding, improving network design has never been an easy journey. The large design space combined with the tremendous cost required for network training poses a major obstacle to this endeavor. In this work, we propose a new approach to this problem, namely, pred...

Autogenic feedback training improves pilot performance during emergency flying conditions.

Studies have shown that autonomous mode behavior (AMB) is one cause of aircraft fatalities caused by pilot error. In AMB cases, the pilot is in a high state of psychological and physiological arousal and tends to focus on one problem, while ignoring more critical information. The following study, conducted under the auspices of the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) A...

Predicting Basic Training Attrition

Given the considerable resources spent by military organizations on the training of new recruits, understanding the factors that lead to the successful completion of training is of utmost importance. A previous analysis of recruits who enrolled in the Canadian Forces (CF) between 2003 and 2005 emphasized the significance of good overall health (e.g., excellent self-rated health, minimal somatis...
